About the FaxPress Enterprise Fax Servers

Castelle's FaxPress Enterprise™ fax servers offer an advanced, state-of-the-art approach to network faxing, providing a complete, enterprise-level network faxing solution in one server-class machine.

With an Intel Pentium 4 processor, 1 GB of integrated file storage for system and fax data files, a multitasking embedded Windows Server 2003 SAK 3.0 operating system and pre-installed FaxPress Plus® server and client software, the FaxPress Enterprise can support the high-volume faxing needs of the busiest enterprise. Upgrade KitsFaxPress Enterprise's powerful and flexible software development kit (SDK) also provides the tools for custom fax application development, while the drop directory and drop fax service offer a straightforward approach to production faxing.

As a dedicated network fax server, the FaxPress Enterprise provides client workstations with access to incoming and outgoing faxes, phonebooks, transaction logs and other fax-related data via FaxPress Plus, the Enterprise client's fax transmission and server administration utility. FaxPress Enterprise's email gateways provide a variety of fax and email integration options, allowing fax messages to be sent and received directly from a number of mail clients. The FaxPress Enterprise's Secure Web Interface provides a secure, web-based server configuration, administration, and faxing utility that can be used to manage Enterprise users and administer Enterprise units, as well as send and receive faxes. Castelle's FaxPress Enterprise fax servers are currently used in government, manufacturing, financial, automotive, hospitality, construction and health care organizations.

Specifically designed to help reduce communication costs and facilitate efficient, error-free information exchange, the FaxPress Enterprise fax servers take care of your enterprise's fax jobs more efficiently, reliably and less expensively than any standalone fax machine or software based fax solution.

FaxPress Enterprise Fax Servers

The FaxPress Enterprise fax servers provide unmatched scalability for the growing enterprise. The four FaxPress Enterprise models include the following units:

FaxPress Enterprise Fractional T1
FaxPress Enterprise T1
FaxPress Enterprise Fractional E1
FaxPress Enterprise E1
FaxPress Enterprise ISDN

The FaxPress Enterprise fax servers support fractional T1, T1, fractional E1, E1 and ISDN BRI carrier formats. The FaxPress Enterprise Fractional T1 and FaxPress Enterprise T1 support high-speed digital transmission in the North American market, while the FaxPress Enterprise E1 and FaxPress Enterprise ISDN support high-speed digital transmission in the European market.

FaxPress Plus, the FaxPress Enterprise Client Software

As a dedicated network fax server, the FaxPress Enterprise provides client workstations with access to incoming and outgoing faxes, phonebooks, transaction logs and other fax-related data via FaxPress Plus®, the FaxPress Enterprise client's fax transmission and administration utility.

The FaxPress Enterprise client software sets new standards for administrative efficiency and convenience, as well as end user features and fax transmission options. FaxPress Plus provides users with tools for sending and receiving faxes, adding and deleting users, setting user properties, configuring FaxPress Enterprise server settings, managing job queues, as well as creating and accessing phone books and cover pages.

Some additional client-based administration and fax transaction features associated with FaxPress Plus include:

Fax Reporting The FaxPress Enterprise's Fax Report application software module compiles the FaxPress Enterprise's fax transaction logs and can generate a variety of graphical reports for system and individual user.

Email Integration The FaxPress Enterprise's Embedded Email Gateway service runs on the FaxPress Enterprise server, and allows Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise and any SMTP-compatible email system users to send and receive faxes directly from the mail client. An additional email gateway for Lotus Notes is provided on the FaxPress Enterprise install disc.

Automated, Production Faxing The FaxPress Enterprise's Drop Directory feature supports easy deployment of automated, production faxing in almost any environment. Third-party applications access the Drop Directory to send outgoing faxes and retrieve incoming faxes. Drop directories are defined in any sharable folders on the network accessible to the Enterprise.

Drag & Drop Fax Routing The Enterprise’s drag & drop fax routing feature allows users with Router privileges to route inbound faxes right to users' FaxPress Enterprise mailboxes with a single mouse click. A Enterprise user with Router privileges may view only the first page (cover page) of the fax, maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of the fax transaction content.

Microsoft Active Directory Integration The FaxPress Enterprise's Active Directory Synchronizer allows the administrator the efficiency of creating new Enterprise users from existing Active Directory users, and the convenience of centralized Active Directory and Enterprise user management.

System Backup and Restore The FaxPress Enterprise's backup and restore function allows all FaxPress Enterprise system files, user information, and fax job data to be backed up to, and restored from, a sharable network folder.

Web Interface Available from any workstation with Internet access and a web browser, the Enterprise's web interface provides access to both administrative and end-user FaxPress Plus functions. A security feature ensures that all data is fully encrypted across the Internet.

Microsoft Integration The FaxPress Enterprise's seamless Microsoft OS and Office application integration allows users to send faxes from the Send To menus of both Microsoft Office applications and Windows Explorer. Outlook users can send and receive faxes as easily as they send and receive email; fax cover pages can be created and edited using Microsoft Word or WordPad, giving users a great deal of creative flexibility.
